The WhatsApp chatbot flows that generate leads are the ones with a single clear goal: qualify an enquiry, collect a quote request, book an appointment, help pick a product, or re-engage a past enquiry. Each asks a few questions, saves the answers and hands off to a person.
1. The enquiry qualifier
Goal: turn "Hi, I want details" into a usable lead.
Flow: greet, ask what they are looking for (buttons), ask one qualifying detail such as location, budget range or timing, collect name, then confirm a callback time.
Why it works: the customer gets a quick response, and your team gets context.
2. The quote request
Goal: collect everything needed to prepare a quote.
Flow: ask for product or service, quantity or scope, location and deadline, then summarise and confirm. Save as a structured record. This suits trade, manufacturing and services. For export businesses, a request-for-quotation flow bundling several products into one request works well, as in the one we built for FIDO Exim.
3. Appointment or visit booking
Goal: fix a time.
Flow: ask which service, offer a few time slots, confirm, send a reminder the day before. Suits clinics, real estate site visits and consultations.
4. The product or plan finder
Goal: help the customer choose.
Flow: ask three short questions (use case, size, budget), recommend one or two options with a link, then offer to connect with a person. Keep the recommendation rules scripted and avoid inventing facts.
5. Re-engagement
Goal: wake up people who enquired and went quiet.
Flow: a short, polite message to people who agreed to be contacted, referring to their earlier enquiry, with a single easy reply. Use approved templates and respect consent.
Design rules that apply to all five
- One goal per flow.
- Short messages, one question at a time.
- A visible way to reach a person.
- Save every answer as structured data.
- Tag the source so you know which flow produces the best leads.
Next, make sure the leads reach the right person: route WhatsApp enquiries to the right salesperson.
